Creative Shenzhen
30年前，中國改革開放的總設(shè)計(jì)師鄧小平"在中國的南海邊劃了一個(gè)圈"，從此，世界誕生了一個(gè)新的城市：深圳。這是中國第一個(gè)經(jīng)濟(jì)特區(qū)，幾十年間海內(nèi)外有識(shí)之士創(chuàng)業(yè)的目的地。
Part1 (History) 30 years ago, Deng Xiaoping, the mastermind of China's Reform and Opening-up Policy, “drew a circle near the South China Sea" on the map. This gave birth to a new city in the world: Shenzhen---- China’s first special economic zone. Since then, Shenzhen has become the destination of entrepreneurs all over the world.

Diversified culture and inclusiveness are the two distinctive characteristics of the city. People in Shenzhen, living harmoniously in the city, come from all over China and the world, As a place that has created numerous economic miracles, Shenzhen is also the birthplace of modern graphic design in China. 2008年，"創(chuàng)意中國"當(dāng)代設(shè)計(jì)展在英國國立維多利亞阿爾伯特博物館隆重舉辦。這是有史以來在英國舉辦的最大型的中國當(dāng)代設(shè)計(jì)展。 In 2008, the "Creative China" Contemporary Graphic Design Exhibition was held grandly in the UK National Victoria and Albert Museum. This was the largest Chinese exhibition of contemporary graphic design held in the United Kingdom ever. Through the exhibition, visitors learned that Shenzhen is the city witnessing the first generation of Chinese graphic designers. The exhibition also introduced China’s great developments in the form of graphic design and visual presentation. Part2（設(shè)計(jì)成就） 隨著平面設(shè)計(jì)的崛起，創(chuàng)意文化和設(shè)計(jì)產(chǎn)業(yè)迅速發(fā)展起來。 在中國設(shè)計(jì)界，"深圳"有著怎樣的地位和影響呢？
With the emergence of graphic design, creative culture and the design industry has begun developing rapidly in Shenzhen. In the Chinese design community, what kind of status and influence does SHENZHEN have?
深圳設(shè)計(jì)師們已經(jīng)成為中國設(shè)計(jì)界最為活躍的一支力量。 他們幾乎獲得過世界上所有頂級(jí)設(shè)計(jì)賽事和國際展覽的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。 目前，國際平面設(shè)計(jì)聯(lián)盟（AGI）有4名會(huì)員來自深圳。
Shenzhen designers have become the most active force in the Chinese design community. Shenzhen designers have won almost all the world's top design competitions and international exhibition awards. Currently, there are 4 members of the International Council of Graphic Design Alliance (AGI) from Shenzhen.
Part3（工業(yè)設(shè)計(jì)●設(shè)計(jì)產(chǎn)業(yè)） 深圳已經(jīng)成為世界的制造業(yè)中心之一。 "工業(yè)設(shè)計(jì)"是科技與藝術(shù)的多學(xué)科綜合設(shè)計(jì)，是先進(jìn)制造業(yè)的核心靈魂。 從"深圳制造"向"深圳創(chuàng)造"轉(zhuǎn)換，為這座城市帶來了新的競爭力。 Shenzhen has become one of the world's manufacturing centers. "Industrial design" is a multidisciplinary concept and it is a combination of science and art. It is also the soul of the advanced manufacturing industry. The transformation from "Made in Shenzhen" to "Created by Shenzhen " will give a boost to the city’s competitiveness.
航天表，是為了適應(yīng)航天員在外太空工作環(huán)境而專門設(shè)計(jì)的一款表。 深圳是全球第二個(gè)能夠生產(chǎn)航天表的城市。
Space watch is what specially designed for astronauts in the outer space. Shenzhen is the second city in the world that is able to produce space watches.
Part4（城市設(shè)計(jì)●設(shè)計(jì)產(chǎn)業(yè)） 只要有生活的地方，就會(huì)有設(shè)計(jì)。其實(shí)人人都生活在設(shè)計(jì)中。
如今，深圳的城市發(fā)展已經(jīng)不僅僅是一種速度的領(lǐng)先，它無處不在地滲透著現(xiàn)代設(shè)計(jì)的意念。 這個(gè)中國夢想的實(shí)驗(yàn)場，永遠(yuǎn)打開著大門，吸引著世界好奇的目光。 Wherever there is life, there is design. Everyone lives amidst design. Today, Shenzhen’s leading status is reflected not only in its development speed, but also in its modern design concepts. As a city that has carried out many China’s pilot projects, Shenzhen will always open to the world and attract the world’s attention.
2008年，美國紐約庫珀•休伊特國家設(shè)計(jì)博物館展出了深圳設(shè)計(jì)師的建筑作品。
這組以福建客家土樓為設(shè)計(jì)原型的建筑，贏得了全球設(shè)計(jì)界的好評(píng)。 圍屋建筑模型已經(jīng)被這個(gè)殿堂級(jí)的博物館永久收藏。
In 2008, the New York Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum held an exhibition of Shenzhen architects’ works. The works in the exhibition received praise from the global design community. The prototype of these works is Fujian Hakka walled buildings. Now, the works have been permanently housed in this prestigious museum.
Part5（設(shè)計(jì)戰(zhàn)略與未來） 深圳被視為中國最富有夢想色彩的城市。 這里承辦了一次又一次美妙的設(shè)計(jì)展。
每年的12月7日是深圳“創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)日”，這也是中國第一個(gè)通過立法設(shè)立的“設(shè)計(jì)日”。
創(chuàng)意12月是這個(gè)城市每年重要的創(chuàng)意活動(dòng)，它已經(jīng)連續(xù)舉辦了6屆。一個(gè)月內(nèi)匯集了100多項(xiàng)活動(dòng)。
Shenzhen is regarded as a city of dreams in China. The city has hosted a series of wonderful exhibitions. People are immersed in a creative and artistic atmosphere everywhere in the city. Shenzhen designated December 7th as its "Creative Design Day", the first "Design Day" established by the government in China.
Creative December, which has been successfully held for 6 successive years, is an important activity in Shenzhen. More than 100 activities will be held during the one month.
有人說"中國設(shè)計(jì)看深圳"。深圳現(xiàn)有設(shè)計(jì)企業(yè)39600余家，從業(yè)人員12萬，已經(jīng)成為深圳文化產(chǎn)業(yè)舉足輕重的組成部分。
Some people say "China’s best design is in Shenzhen." There are 39,,600 design companies in Shenzhen that altogether employs over 120,000 people. These companies have become a vital part of the cultural industry in Shenzhen.
2008年，聯(lián)合國教科文組織授予深圳市“設(shè)計(jì)之都”稱號(hào)。 這張新的城市名片，全方位展示了深圳的設(shè)計(jì)力量。 深圳的城市形象也因?yàn)闊o處不在的設(shè)計(jì)理念，讓全世界重新打量。
In 2008, UNESCO awarded the "City of Design" title to Shenzhen This new title displays the designing power of Shenzhen in an all-round way. Shenzhen’s city image is taking on a new look because of its ever-present designing concepts.
